They are representing a collection of truly outstanding, accomplished and world renowned luminaries of show business and cultural icons. As we highlight several aspects of the magnificent journey of our guest of honor, you will experience again the greatness of these varied, yet celebrated Divas. Reconnect to times gone by, some just recently, when multi-talented women "strut their stuff" and share their talents in a presentation that you will never forget! It's a feel-good afternoon of historical proportion! Join family and friends, elders, children, men and women to honor one of the most beloved women we have the privilege to know, on this very special occasion! The afternoon concludes with a light reception in the John Addison Concert Hall Lobby for a chance to Meet & Greet our Guest of Honor:

Join Us as we Celebrate Mama Evelyn Clark Whitehead on her 90th Birthday when the stars come out as "DIVAS OF DISTINCTION" PAY TRIBUTE TO OUR GRAND DIVA! This afternoon will be a multi-generational preview of a life well-lived, as we highlight her amazing journey! Based on the major events of her experiences, in a "This Is Your Life" flavor, we will travel through time and recount history with Divas of Stage & Screen. I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing. When 2 people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn't flow with the music & everything is quite uncomfortable & jerky.
When one person realizes that & lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music.
One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another. It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully! The dance takes surrender, willingness, one attentiveness from one person & gentle guidance & skill from the other.
My eyes drew back to the word Guidance
When I saw "G" I thought of God
followed by "u" & "i"
"God," "u" & "i" dance...
God, you, and I dance!
As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance about my life.
Once again, I became willing to let God lead!
My prayer for you today is that God's blessings & mercies be upon you on this day & everyday!
May you abide in God as God abides in you
Dance together with God, trusting God to lead & guide you through each season of your life as you trust in Him, His Son, His Spirit & His word!
Hear His heart beat, follow the rythym of His word..

Because Mama's been able to access appropriate Health Care and responsive health and medical treatment, we are blessed to honor her 90th birthday! We must support Health Care Reform in our country, "with Liberty and Justice for ALL"!
The Health Care Reform Act has been voted into law and signed by President Obama on this great day! This country is finally catching up to the rest of the Industrialized Nations in addressing Health Care Reform after almost 100 years of violent opposition from opponents of equality in the "Pursuit of Happiness"! We still have much work to do, but we're finally on the right track in caring for our citizens' health outlook!

Lord,
We pray for optimum health, mental clarity and political prosperity for President Barack H. Obama. We pray that what he lacks in political 'experience' you make up for with supernatural wisdom and power.
We also pray that when his enemies come upon him they will stumble and fall; and that your love will fill his heart to the end that 'Your will' be done through him.
We pray mightily for his protection. As we plead the Blood of your son, Jesus, over him and his family. We reverently ask you to dispatch legions of angels to protect them from all hurt, harm, danger as he serves as the President of the United States of America .
